lol the butt dyno is key.

next time a cop comes after you for "HID's" pop the hood and ask him to show you the HID's. they need the balast, tansformer, socket conversion piece and a true xenon arc to be HID's.

HID's colour is measured in Kelvins, the temperature relates to the xenon arc inside the bulb.. the purest brightest light in the spectrum for humans is between 4200 and 5000K. the BMW's run about 5500 Kelvins i think just to get that different look. theres a guy here in london who has a retrofit HID kit on a MP5 and he's got it set to 8500Kelvins. it really is actually blue in colour, but its still bright as hell. for comparison, you only have to go as high as 12000K to hit black light and infrared.

technically blue light is in the 7000K and up range. there is no way in hell $30 ebay bulbs can produce that variance, any of them. you can take his ass to court any day of the week.
