If you plan to rent a full track(mosport, shannonville, or cayuga) plan to have atleast 25 cars to make it worth it. I think its about $3000 to rent the full track at mosport, but I could be wrong.

Cayuga has lapping days all the time, you just show up and pay(I believe its $250), then drive all day.

Autox is a MUCH cheaper alternative. Another choice is the driver development track at mosport, which I believe is substantially cheaper than the full track..

Just a heads up, any tracks day I've been to don't allow passing, except if you're signalled to by the slower car, so you can't really go for a balls out race with your friend...
