That is the most rediculous statement ever. I've had my fair share of meeting's shall we say with police while driving and I have have had several tickets issued to me becuase of it. I can say that I've been pulled over in excess of 30times since having my licence (i had my car in Ontario for University and had my Nova Scotia plates on it so I got asked to make sure the car wasn't stolen etc a lot). I have NEVER met a rude officer in any of those cases. I've only recieved 4-5 tickets all together out of those meetings, not all speeding either.
I whole heartedly believe its in your attitude as the driver that 99% of the time that will dictate the out come. I've always had my windows down, interior lights on and ID/ownership/ins ready for when they come to the window (its not like we don't usually know why we got pulled over) and just treat them with respect. I've had officer's make reason's for ME why I was speeding once and they just wanted to let me know that I needed to slow down and be careful.
Smile, say thank you and address them like human beings and you will honestly be amazed how well they will treat you.
