why not? because you weren't able to? i believe thats how it is in europe. a driving test proves that you're able to drive, if you are not able to pass with a standard transmission then you are not able to properly drive a standard.

i haven't gone for my G yet even though i've been able to for over 2 years because i'm lazy and don't have my own car on the road right now, but when i do take it i will be taking it in a standard.

btw adam, how many attempts did it take you to finally pass you G?
