and a WIN by points standards is a reduction. So they will go in to the first attendence - take 1/2 hour charge you $300 and have your fine reduced to $90. Now you pay $390 (plus I'm sure there's tax on the $300 they charge) and get exactly what you could have done in 1/2 hour yourself.

Go see the Crown (nice guy for the most part) bet you that he drops the charge to something smaller like improper lane change etc. Not only that but when you get up in front of her worship (not honour) she will ask if you need any extra time to pay the fine. You say yes and then she will ask how long you need. Ask for 90 days and you won't have to pay until well after your tuition is due.

Option B - fight the ticket. This will involve 2 visitis to 90 queen st. First visit you will have to tell the crown your intentions, then let the JP hear it too (in the court room) then they will book your real court date - most likely they will note that you need one and you may either get to stand at the wicket outside the courtroom or possibly have something mailed to you.

If you go with option B it sounds like you have a good chance of walking out of there paying exactly $0.

Good luck - and park on Margaret ave - it's a 4 minute walk but at least they're not screwing you for parking.
