Kace, the running over thing. its like letting you off on a speeding ticket. they make you run over it, and throw it out, let you off the ticket. if they were charging you, they wouldn't make you run it over.
if they have "reasonable grounds" they can search your car, top to bottom, inside out, for your radar detector.
carbon, they can detect it. they can detect anything. read my previous post. they don't need a machine to catch you, all they need is common sense.
