Which is why I don't believe the "make u run over it" thing. They are required to keep it as evidence.
Not if they have probable cause, which they do since they detected your detector. I think that only works if they just pull u over for a random spot check. If they detect a detector and you don't comply, be prepared to a) have your car torn apart from top to bottom and b) to wait, be harrassed and have the cops give u as much trouble they can.

why wouldnt you have wiring for both?? if u do and give them the shitty one with the wiring why would they suspect that u have a second one?? u still get one that works, just make sure your willing to lose it
