okay, don't take this the wrong way, don't overreact because i'm not being racist but I am going to tell you why he said what he said.
him and I have boughten many cars in our lives and many things off forums. and heres where the problem is, and I know saying this doesn't apply to all middle easterns so you don't need to say that, but in his/my experience almost every car or every object we've bought from middle easterns either breaks after the first few days, not as desciribed in the add or is wrong. I'll give a few examples.
I was looking for a car, I wanted a 91 style Passat. the car was on kijiji, in toronto, it was a 91 passat, the add said it had 163 thousand kilometers on it was in good shape cert and e'd for $1700. we got there, he was SO late meeting us, so we drove him to where the car was... we pull into the place and both of us were like "this place looks familiar" then we realized this is the place you buy fake safeties from. I said okay, whatever who cares lets check it out, we get to it, looks fine from the outside. sit in it, the odometer says it has 245 thousand on it, the shift knob fell off the power windows didn't work at the sunroof didn't work. i said fine, whatever lets start it. I start it smokes like a prick! just so much smoke I was so mad so we just left.
now onto another story, this man was selling a 91 accord, safety+etested for an agreed$900 and said he desperately needed the money for school. we got there, thing wouldnt start had duct tape ALL over the body (even tho he said the body was in very good shape) had a cracked windshield, i said to him "are you kidding me, i specificly asked if it was a legit safety" he looks at me and says "you just gotta know the right people" so at this point were furious because we left ourselves in a tight pinch as i sold my van to a man who dropped us off at this car. our mistake, but we went on the mans word being trusting people. so I got it started and the guy makes a bill of sale saying the car is "as is" so I am just teeming with rage at how badly he was fucking us and says "the cars as is right" so then we get the ownership, ITS FROM QUEBEC even though he said he had it plated and insured and drove it to and from school every day, even though it had ontario plates on it. just wow, i was so mad. we couldnt even get the car into one of our names because he couldnt come up with a bill of sale from the actual owner of the car.
I've just never had a smooth transaction with a middle eastern before EVER, so I tend to steer clear of it, is that such a bad thing? I am sure that not all brown people are bad, I know that, but i've never had a good dealing with one. thats where he's coming from. Just dont care to put myself in a place that has landed me being fucked so many times before.
please take this the right way, put yourself in my position and think how you would act. obviously he went overboard but thats why he said what he said
