I never got beat or hit but I got some of my priviledges removed when I made decisions that weren't so thought out. I'll probably have the same policy. To be honest, its probably one of those things where you wouldn't understand unless you went through it. My dad didn't kick my ass because he was pissed at me, he did it because he loved me and wanted me to grow up the best man I possibly could be. To be completely honest, I'm glad my dad kicked my ass, I'm a better person today because of it.
BTW when I say he beat me, I mean he'd give me a slap on the wrist or on the backside. He neve actually hurt me, it was more of a psychological thing.
