To the author of this thread: So you knew what the suspect looked like and which way he took off on foot but didn't think this was important information to tell the police? Obviously, by your own statements, the police didn't know which way the guy ran off, but you thought it would be smarter to keep the information to yourself so you would have a marginally humours, and poorly written, story to post on VM? Maybe if you had informed the police the direction of travel of the suspect they wouldn't have had to resort to containment and a canine search (that would have been all those "fucking cruisers all over the place at intersections")...And who were you calling an idiot?

Also, maybe I missed something, but what relevance does this thread have to do with a car enthusiast web site?
