Why the hell would he hook it up to the VSS?.....what does that have to do with RPM
There will be a white wire coming off the ignition modual, undernieth the coils.....hook it to that, thats the stock Tach wire. Or pull a dash wiring diagram, and find out what wire it is on the connector (99% sure it's white). Or easier way.....pay $75 for a Z24 cluster, and plug N play
