Mazda sucks. Plain and simple. They build the engines and tranny to barely handle the power they have, with abuse or any modifications, the tranny is done for. Trust me, I had a tranny go at like 18,000kms, and an engine go at 400kms (four hundred.. ) in a 2.3 Mazda 3.
Interior gets annoying after a while. The only positives were good suspension, good brakes, and a comfortable driving position.
2 Major negatives for me are: 1. It doesnt float. 2. Lug nuts dont like to hold on.
For $38k i would rather drive something from a german automaker with a little less power.
Plus, like NeonSRT said.. Who the hell decided to make this a fwd car? What use is that.. it behaves exactly like a VW trying to hook up off the line.
