a ticket never goes onto your abstract till its closed. so when you get a ticket, pay it but pay an extra $5. they will send you a cheque for $5 sometime later but don't cash the cheque, that keeps the ticket open thus not going on your record.

I've heard it from a few people, two of which being cops (uncle and a random man I know)
