Tickets only show up on your drivers licence history when they have been registered as a conviction though the courts. So if you pay the ticket (check off the 'guilt box and pay the fine) or you fight it and are found guilty, then there is conviction registered and it will show up on your licence history.
The Driver's Licence history is what insurance companies look at. And they have to pay to inquire into your licence history, its not an automatic notification from the ministry.
The only other ways they can find out if you have been charged would be:
1) If you call and tell them (very honest people, who have way too much cash)
2) You are involved in a reportable collision, they will find out when someone files a claim.
3) A police officer inquires to see if a vehicle is actually insured (fail to have insurance).
