Does anyone know what all I need to do with my car if I want to move to another province?
In about a year and a half, I'll be done school, and I want to move to Alberta. I know I'll need a new driver's license, switch over my insurance, etc, but
do I have to get Alberta plates too, or can I leave the Ontario plates on and just get Alberta plate stickers?
Also, what about buying out-of-province? I'm driving a sedan-type vehicle now, but I'm moving to Alberta specifically to get out of the city, so I want to buy a heavy-duty truck for the country/winter roads...the most obvious solution would be to sell my car in Ontario before I leave, and buy a truck when I get to Alberta, but if anyone knows what my options are (ie: could I buy a truck in Alberta next year, and bring it back to Ontario for 6 months?)
Guess I could call up MTO and ask
EDIT: Sorry, I should have said "Moving to another province"...Alberta isn't really new
