Expansion of highways is a very temporary fix. Within a few years the expanded highway is just as full as the former 'narrow' highway used to be.

If you want them to be able to tell you exactly how much those roads are used, all they have to do is give you and everyone else that uses them a transponder and.... wait a minute, there IS such a road out there...

The traffic on the 407 may be lower, but that's due to its cost not because it has 20 lanes in each direction. Make the 401 a pay highway and you instantly reduce the number of cars on it. Flame on
