insurance will not cover his car but they will cover the other since they are the innocent party. if he did have collision/ he would be SOL to get the 6G for the car because he was not properly classed to drive the vehicle.
Unless it was in his parents name but then the only way to get the $$ is they would have to charge him with Theft
