I'm glad you got caught.. hopefully you'll learn not to do that again.. after getting into real racing, and also seeing some seriously messy crashes on the road/being in some crashes on the track, I've learned never to push it on the streets.
If I'm on the track, I know an ambulance is under 2mins away.. and that the guy I hit accepted the risks when he got in his car that day.. also 90% of the racing I do involves a roll cage, and though I've never tested a race car to it's full accident abilities, I know enough that I hope never to get into a serious accident in a car without a cage.
Anyway.. I'm sure you don't need someone preaching to you about how bad what you were doing was.. I just hope you learn and don't do it when you do get back on the street.. try buying something seriously mundane.. driving a 2.2L auto legacy wagon for a year kicked any agressive driving habits I had left. Learn to use the roads for getting around like they were designed, and take up something else.. like racing in sanctioned events, or somethign cheaper like mtb riding.. or if you have to have an engine.. get on a dirt cycle or a 4wheeler.. great ways to get your adrenaline rush without getting arrested.
