I bet that car was a write off. Just because it's a write off doesn't mean it's not good. Have you ever even quoted or fixed a car with that kind of damage before? Parts are cheap, labour is not. It's the labour component that normally causes the write off. Not only that, but you have to do a fair bit to change the brand title from salvage to rebuilt. Photographs of it on the alignment rack, proof of frame measurements and that they are in spec, a valid alignment that is withing spec, safety, etest, blah blah blah.There are lots of cars out there that have been rebuilt. Like any business there are sketchy operations and people out there, but anybody with any sort of workmanship definitely isn't putting a death trap on the road by any means. I rebuilt a vehicle in similar condition and gave it back to my family. After repair it was in as good if not better shape then before.
