WTB: Non-gay muffler
i want to find a nice muffler that doesn't sound like these little honda fart cans driving around.. I want something so when I step on the gas, it sounds mean, but normal driving it doesn't sound like "brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr". . I'm afraid what I'm asking for involves more than just a muffler?

ya a muffler won't cut it. Look at getting either a brand name axel back or a full catback exhaust.

Depends on the engine. Hondas generally have a very harsh exhaust tone that needs some decent resonators in order to produce a nice mellow tone.
If you're going custom be careful not to use pipe that is too large a diameter. Larger diamater pipe usually leads to a much louder exhaust. ------------------ This space intentionally left blank. |

For a deep tone you'll want a good resonator ( Magnaflow ), and a good muffler ( Magnaflow or Borla ). Removing the resonator will make the tone much more harsh. ------------------ This space intentionally left blank. |

^^ What he said... With a good resonator, and muffler it'll sound good and not be obnoxiously loud. If you have the stock exhaust manifold it'll be less harsh too, I find Honda's with headers can get REALLY raspy.

hmm .. if you dont want a gay muffler.. I think I am on this one with you... however I wouldnt mind getting a lesbian muffler....
yeah I know.. I'm an idiot.. :fuckyou: ps. magnaflow stuff rocks.. it.. they are deep and mellow.. however if you have VTEC or some kind of resonation system in yer engine.. they will make it sound so nice.. like in my mx6 you have VRIS which is similar to vtech and it sounds so nice.. when it kicks in.. I reccomend them.. ![]() |

^^ OMFG ITS VTEC !!!!!!!!
Just stick with OEM muffler u got and just slap on a nice tip.. I regret not buying a stockie exhaust when my muffler broke... Ive heard magnaflows and their raspy imo.. Flowmasters and DNX mufflers sound really nice.. BUt nothin beats an OEM exhaust with a good Intake. ------------------ Mike 93 Civic Si R.I.P |
