blew my first sub ever...and a problem

so i went to turn my stereo on today and i only had fronts... weird.
later i get home to take a look and no movement on my smartass prototype 10". hmmmm
tested my friends sub on my amp and it worked, tested my sub on his amp, no worky.
its a sad day..lol
so i cut the center of the cone off and u can see where its completely separated on the inside. not to mention that the spider was also ripped.
boo!

anyway just one of my stories

#2
i now get alternator whine through my front stage (only speakers in the car) as of today.
now lets prestage this with me installing new components in the door yesterday and they work fine. when the car is off everything is clear as a bell and no issues.
as soon as i start the car i get whining from the alt that goes up with the rpm's.
i regrounded the amps, re wired the comps, rca's are down opposite side from the power wire and nothing made a difference. I had this happen once when i was running my focals but it went away when i changed some wiring in the trunk. this time no difference at all.

any input?

I found that sometimes I get whine if my gains are turned up to high on the amp. It seems to pick up every little noise. And try a new ground on your hu. Or freshen up the old one.

this was long solved...and as mentioned up top, RCA's and pwr were on opposite sides of the car... the problem was the RCA connection at the deck. new deck, no issues... damn pioneer
