System Help please!
i donno whats going on with my system it works perfectly fine then my amp will kick into protect mode for some reason? ive checks everything on the amp as so did my friends who are into car audio and there are no problems, wiring is all good and i even took my subs an hooked them up to my buddys amp an they work perfect.
soo the question im curious about is why does it keep kickin out. also i have a switch to turn my subs on an off, an once my amp goes into protect mode i flip the switch off and wait 3 secs an flip it back on an there i have power again then it would do it again once in awhile after. this is happening more often in the heat aswell. any thoughts? thanks. |

WEll it just sounds like you have a loose connection inside the amplifier, What models of equipment do you have? and Yes in the heat this is common if you run your amplifier in a small confined area!! (and a low ohm load to the amp, it tends to go into protect from the heat)

pull the amp and install it in your friends car. if it goes into protect in his car then u know for sure that the amp itself is the problem.

how are your subs hooked up and how many subs do you have? i had that problem when i bridged my subs to 2ohms. Now i switched it back to 4ohms so 1 ch per sub it works fine wiht no problems.
