New Trunk Set-up *PICS*
So last week, I had a day off and decided to build myself a new box and everything in my civic. I started at around 1:30 in the afternoon and finished everything, including wiring everything by 10:30pm. After everything was finished I was unable to get my subs to work
I ended up buying a new fuse holder and fuse and new input wiring from rob good guy for sure. When I took the deck out, My remote wire didn't have much contact, I rewired it with the new wire that I got, and everything worked perfect Here are some progress pics and end result.Enjoy.. I started off by gutting the entire trunk, the old carpet was pretty dirty. ![]() Old carpet. ![]() This is what my old box looked like. I needed a change. ![]() When I took my carpet out, I noticed a nice little hole in the trunk, so exhaust fumes were getting in. ![]() So I fiberglassed that up. (Added a little to much cream hardener )![]() Started by cutting the bottom peice for that box. Bolted it right to the body of the car ![]() ![]() Put the other peices up, and fiberglassed the entire box, anywhere air would get out. ![]() Top is on. ![]() Subs just chillin. ![]() I mounted some mdf brackets to the side, you will see why. ![]() This was the hardest part. Fit perfect tho ![]() ![]() Same to the other side. Screwed everything in, and sealed all the cracks. ![]() Carpet almost in. ![]() Finished product. Have a couple things to fix with the carpet. ![]() |

looks clean thats for sure. i personally would have kept the amp/cap on the same side so you could use part of the trunk more.. but looks good

Looks nice but I like functionality. You've pretty much eliminated any usefulness of your trunk other than making bass...

^^ im use to it....my old setup was pretty close, this way gives me a bit more room...I might build or buy covers for the subs, cap, and amp, so that way i can just throw stuff on top.

^^ nope....whats the point? if I got a flate, my spare tire wouldn't even fit properly, the car is sitting pretty low, and if i did put the spare on, the body kit will be touching the ground. So I will just call for a flat bed if I ever need one.

next mod run flat tires? not bad, but I'm the type of guy who wouldn't do a dedicated trunk like that, I like extra space and having somewhere to puts parts and other crap..... ------------------ SR20DET Tuned by BLITZ Yeah thats right, BLITZ MA-F@CK@ I didn't get the nicky HARDCORE for nothing |
