The new GT-R

I'm surprised there isn't much discussion on this yet. I've never been a big fan of the GT-R/Skyline hoopla. The new one is even uglier than the old ones (my opinion), but what Nissan has been able to technically achieve with the latest version and still sell it for about $80k US is amazing.

First Look: 2008 Nissan GT-R

Anywho, discuss. There isn't enough of that these days

This is where you type a bunch of shit about how awesome your car is. FACT: It's been scientifically proven that the more shit you write in here the less cool your car is. Nine times out of ten the majority of people who talk shit down here don't even have any of the crap they talk about on their car. I drive an 8 year old domestic and barely give two shits about it. I beat the hell out of it and it begs for more, just like your girlfriend. Go ahead, cut me off. I dare ya.

I'm not announcing there is going to be a new GT-R, that is old news. Yes there already is a thread, yes there have already been photo's of it posted. I just thought I would share this article because it has a bit more info on it, particularly on the performance figures of the car. To some of us, performance is important (yes I am aware of the irony of that coming from a guy who drives a neon).

I like the numbers, the skin that its wrapped in I'm pretty impartial to so far. Its got some akward lines to say the least IMO. The taillights kinda remind me of cobalts which seems demeaning for a car of its 'class'. It's up there with the new GTO for me. Looks like someone beat its mother with an ugly stick but its got the balls to back up the talk, which in the end, is what matters.
I'll take one for a test drive one day I'm sure. Till then I can't really form any more of an opinion on it.. plus with building an LS1 280Z my hands will be full for a while

Datsun 280z- awaiting LS1 install to be the LSZ of my dreams
Mods to come:224/224 cam, valvesprings, hardened pushrods, hugger headers, P&P TB, LS6 intake, loud pipes

What you didn't hear me? or you didn't understand?

If I was spending 80K on a car, that would NOT be what I spent it on.
