Ride: '95 Civic Sedan

Fav Mod: enjoying the stockness.

Class: Street

FS: 1989 Nissan 240sx hatchback

FS Item: this is my friend's car, it's a '89 240 hatch

Description: he bought this car as a project car and has it at my shop, we have fixed it up a bit and put a twin cam engine into it. engine has 175,000km on it, body of the car has 160,000km on it. the engine isn't running properly now, but it will be fixed by myself before the car is sold, it just needs the timing set correctly.

body of the car is mint, no rust. it was repainted a darker burgandy a few years ago there are a couple spots of paint flaking where primer is exposed. comes with a zenki front lip and 7 spoke 240 rims with bald tires (not shown in pics though as they're on another car at the moment), but can come with a set of mint winter tires to last for a while if you plan to buy rims for the car or something. all original rustless, wingless hatch (not a shaved one).

has manual sunroof, power windows, non hicas.

now the underbody of the car, drivers side frame rail has usual 240 rot, passenger side is good though. also the rad support is rotten, that is all for rot under the car that i have noticed though.

Location: located at my shop near kitchener

Reason for Selling: he's an offroad whore, 240s aren't good on trails believe it or not.

Price: he's asking $1200

Contact: PM me or call me at 519-317-1777 to set up a time to see the car if you're interested

Pics:

the interior is still partially apart from the swap, this will also be put back together before the car is sold

needs to be boxed, or if you're poor you can fiberglass it and make it look like metal to pass a safety, frames on these things don't seem to be structural anyway since i have not seen one fold in half. i don't recommend this though, i'm against it.

as for price, PM one of the welder guys on here, see if they are interested in doing it, thats probably the cheapest route. if they don't want to do it then call a professional welding shop, i can't imagine it would be much more than $100 but i don't actually know.

Other than the frame, can you think of anything else that it may need to safety and e-test? Would there be any sense in asking if he would trade for something else that is not off-road ready?

forgot to mention, the brakes on the car are new and the suspension is very tight which is pretty uncommon for an S13.

listen to this man, its a good deal.

now heres a better deal:

$1000 come on and get it. if you want to finish assembling the interior and set the timing yourself a better price can be worked out too. want to get this car out of here, far too many cars taking up space at the shop.

$800, this thing needs to disappear from our lives soon. the shop and surrounding area are getting a serious cleanup along with the shop is getting a new floor so this HAS to go as it's just taking up space.

car should e-test no problems as the engine and exhaust both passed easily fairly recently, though they were in different cars.

i cannot think of anything it will need for safety besides the frame rail patch.

great opportunity to get a respectable looking, legitimately cert/e'd 240 for under a grand, WITH a DOHC engine.

Wow if I had cash I would buy it and weld in a new frame myself to replace my hatch.

Bump for what appears to be a a decent car!

turns out it can stay at the shop for a bit, so this is just a limited time offer until i have time to work on it again, once i have the time i'm going to weld up the frame, get it cert/e'd and the price will go up quite a bit. so if you want it for this price, get it soon.

Have you got any estimates on fixing the frame? AYR is a little drive from the shop that I work at and the body guy I would be getting to fix it.

Just looking for a ballpark estimate.
