Windows jump off track
Just wondering if anyone knows why my windows are jumping off the tracks and not closing properly.
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot. Brian ------------------ 1998 Honda Civic Si |

Your best bet would be to remove the door panel and see what is going on. It could be something as simple as a bolt from the track is loose or out and the window is missing because of that. Just take off the panel and see if you can note the problem.

i have seen this problem on more than one of these year civics. Its usually the seals, what happens is the car gets undercoated and some of the undercoat gets on the rail seals, then in turn, the seals will actually swell because of the perto solvent in the undercoat, thus making it very difficult to crank. My brother simply bought new rail seals, lubed them with silcone grease, and it he hasnt had a problem since.
check on the inside of the door and if there is undercoat, this is more than likely your problem. ------------------ '90 H22 Accord |

My windows are power so its not the crank thing, unless the power windows have it too, I'm just wonderingh if this is a common problem with these civics and how could I fix it for good, because I have taken it apart before and fixed it.
