wiring halos in a civic

I got a 1994 honda civic si and was wondering how I can wire the halos in. I don't want them to be on all the time, I just want them on when I turn on my headlights. Most people said just tap it into the parking light, but I heard that makes the LEDs blow quicker. Any suggestions?

yo man i just did some googling. I know wtf there talking about.

DO ME A FAVOR. Go to parts source and buy the damn replacement bulb we broke yesterday.

I know what you mean by tapping into the parking thing but if you don't want to do it that way we can do it another way.

OR we could do the switch method if you want but then go to ORION and buy 300 ohm 1/2 watt resistors.

I have mine hooked up to a switch located on my centre console.

It's soo simple to do.

Or you could run them off your corner lights, that way it ain't some ghetto rigged switch in the middle of the dash lol. Plus they would come on and off with your other lights.

w00t finally finished the wiring!

Does anyone know how much the HALO LED"s are rated at?

We put a 330 oHM 1/2 watt resistor inline off the constant 12+ from the parking/signal lights.

The LED's should already come with resistors in them so they can be directly wired to a 12v source, wire off corner lights or something up there and the fuse should be fine cause LED's use next to no extra power, unless you got some kind of funky headlights or a kit that doesn't come with resistors
