Window Tinting on 05 Ralliart
So i'm tinting my new ride and need some advice. I'm doing at KarRite on Victoria and Lackner. The legal limit is 28% on the front and no limit on the rest. Should I get 28% all round or different? Thanks.

how much does karrite charge for 4 door sedans? I just help do my buddies civic... 5 percent back windows, and 2 front 18 percent.. its dark, way to dark at night time go 20 percent all the way around ------------------ That's not oil leaking! I always go very dark on my cars, but there is no actual percentage that's legal, it's all the police perspective, as the charge is colour coating "obstructing" the interior. But I have always enjoyed on my cars as dark as they have for the rears and a 15 or 18 or something on the front. It's very dark, and nearly impossible to back up at night, but the looks are more important to me in my cars!

and i've also heard its at the police officer's descretion from my friend... who's an officier... his rule of thumb is that he needs to be able to read your name off of your licence through the tint if its held up to the glass. to each their own. i've had as low as 12% mirror tint on one of my cars and never had a comment about it, and you couldn't see through it at all. its all about how you are with the officier IMO ------------------ Life can change with every breathe, and it can end before the next. You find me the actual % I will agree with you. I went to school for this, I know the HTA, and I've also been let of with a window tint ticket because the officer didn't read up on his shit. The actual charge is colour coating obstructing the interior and we are one of the few places that doesn't give an actual percentage. The police have been fighting for it as it's a very easy ticket to get off of. In many parts of the US they have things that are able to read your tint percentage as they have laws in %. I would agree that 28% is probably safe, but there's no actual legal limit. If they really wanted, they could charge you for any type of aftermarket tint. 73. R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, s. 73 (1). Colour coating obstructing view prohibited (2) No person shall drive a motor vehicle upon a highway where the surface of the windshield or of any window of the vehicle has been coated with any colour spray or other colour coating in such a manner as to obstruct the driver’s view of the highway or any intersecting highway.
