Gas Prices - Let that rant begin . . .

Being that Im used to paying higher then normal gas prices , as I need to put premium gas in my car ( 91+ octane ), I find is dispicable that the gas companies are able to change prices so dramatically in the course of eight hours. Yesterday, upon my arrival at work ( Mississauga ) , I passed by a Shell & Esso gas statsions ( right across the street from each other ) at approximately 1130am seeing a price of 79.5, ( thinking that was as good price ) upon leaving work at around 805pm, the price sky rocketed to 89.5 ( thats right 10 cent increase in just over 8 hours ) meaning that i spent 99.3 on gas last night. Im completley outraged that price changes like this happen. Yes i am aware gas / oil companies need to make money and that there so called profit is " 3% of the total cost of the fuel " But cmon, 10 cents in 8 hours and your telling me there making only 3 % profit..?? So early in the day does that mean they were making no profit?? THATS HORSE SHIT!! I don't beleive it.. anyway.. i hate bitchin and complaining about things that we all have to deal with ona dialy bais, but I seriously hope the government can somewhat start to regulate these oil companies with these redicolous charges.

whoa.. im done bitching

thanks for your time
!!

I have no idea why they fluctuate so much, but there is acctually a pattern
If you go and fill up on TUESDAY BEFORE 7PM is always the lowest and then at like 8PM is up 10 cents.

ANyways i have to put 91+ as well and it really sucks hitting the gas pump sosts me almost $50

well the gov is not going to rush in and do anything as they make more money when thre price of gas goes up. It is called GAS TAX!!! The higher the price, the more tax they collect.

All I gotta say is I'm glad I have a CRX.
I put in $6 on Monday and still can get about 100km on it.

Personally I don't care about gas prices much, I'm only paying like $5 more now, just means less McDonalds now, which isnt all that bad.

And to think I was considering going up to 89 octane. Ah well 87 does the job nicely!
