with the car OFF??? I tried only with the car on.........I pumped it like 10 or 20 times when it was running.

Will that solve my problems??? I had a bit of fluid drop on the ground......I don't think enough to make a difference though.......maybe 100mL - 200mL or so???

do it with the car off first until pedal gets hard befoire you start car.
Even with car off you probably need to pump 10+ times before it gets hard

Fluid Leak how???
Did you mess w/ the lines as well??

OMG!!! The only reason they are malfunctioning is because I had to disconnect the brakes to get the new pads to fit over the new rotors!!!

This is the first time I've ever done anything mechanical on a car......so bear with me.........I'm learning FAST........I did this without instructions, and figured it out (hopefully I didn't do something stupid by removing the brake bolt) I know how to do the rears now!!!

OOPS, I guess I shouldn't have removed the bolts!!!

I guess the offer of coming over to my house is not needed anymore then eh? LOL!!!! I was tired from work anyway, i pretty much got up now.

Anyway, did you take off the brake lines aswell? If you did (which was not needed for jsut Rotor and pad replacment) then air might have gott in in the lines and you will need to bleed it out. Once you do this, then check the brake fluid reservoir to make sure you have enough fluid in there.

get a haynes manual for your car, it has many different instructions for doing different things to your car. It is pretty much your bible...lol...well it is mine..haha

But with brakes you should really get someone to help you with this considering they are a very important asset to your car. Don't be afraid to ask for help especially if its the first time you've done it.

are the front and rear disk brakes? or are the rear drum brakes? I'm just tellin ya if the rears are drum breaks and you want to do those they are way harder then disks. You also need the right tools to put the springs back on, trust me those are a bitch....I've taken automotive in school and my teacher based alot of his lessons on the brake system, and we worked on them alot in the shop so i know brakes the best out of any piece on the car..lol..

but for future references, just to replace the pads on disk brakes, all you have to do is take off the caliper. it has two bolts in the back of it. Some cars you only loosen one bolt and the rest of the caliper slides off. then you fit the brake pads, take a vice and slowly push the caliper cylinder in then put in back on over the new pads....lol..this would be so much easier to explain with pictures..i'll try to find some websites for you

Remember how I said to use a c clamp to push the part behind the pad back in to fit it over the rotor? It was so that all the fluid could be pushed back up the lines without disconnecting the brakes!
