"Which Logo?" Suppliment
As the previous thread got out of control and was locked, I figured the convo may continue in a new thread that could maybe/possibly stay on topic.
There seemed to be some interest to my suggestion of a "Keep it at the track" under the logo when made into stickers. Is this something that interests more people, and could possibly promote the club as one oriented towards legal events? I'm sure there are a bit less used phrases we could come up with other than "Keep it at the track", but everyone really does understand exactly what it means. -Steve |

In all honesty I won't be putting a sticker on my car until I'm firmly convinced the club I'd be representing has the same ideals as my own. I still think its a good idea to display a motto of an organization... create a culture, thats what a car club is supposed to be about. -Steve PS... IF YOU WANT BBQ INFO, START ANOTHER THREAD ABOUT IT, OR DO AS THE MODERATOR SUGGESTED AND R-E-A-D... I VERY SPECIFICALLY ASKED THIS THREAD TO STAY ON TOPIC. |

this is a HUGE issue on jco, so many clowns with that sticker... and they all drive like turds.. making jco, look bad. simple as that this is a well respected club in this community (I would like to think) don't ruin it. stickers should be just left to the officials, and mature drivers only. In case you missed it, official membership doesn't exist anymore. Everyone is an equal member. If you want a sticker on your car, thats fine. If you don't want a sticker on your car, thats fine too. |

As PT said, everyone can be a member, regardless if they have a sticker or not. The sticker doesn't make you a member, you participation at events does.
Reflecting back in what happened 2 years ago: - Stickers were given out in good faith to everyone who asked for them (FREE OF CHARGE) - Stickers ended up in hands of people who should not have gotten them. (not because of what they drive, but HOW they drive) - Officers starting noticing heatbags sporting those stickers and pulling them over. - An association was made between the club name and heatbags/racers - Actual Member with the same sticker started to get harrased - We restricted sticker givaways and memberships. Everyone keep this in mind, if you are going to put a sticker on your car, keep in mind that by driving like an idiot, being involved in illegal activities, etc, you are not only screwing yourself when you get caught, you are screwing everyone else on here too. If you are going to act like a moron, leave the stickers at home, remebr you don't need them to be a member. As for adding something to the LOGO its a good suggestion, except the "Keep it at the track" its super played out. Again we are not a "racing club", we are an everything club, so having that would only affect part of members, unless we start having "Keep it on the show floor" and other retatrted variations. We tried having a generic statement before "Drive to Survive", that did not work that well either. I say keep it simple for now. Also for the people that don't want the .NET you can cut it out before you put the sticker on. ------------------ Nick | 2001 Golf 1.8T | www.mygolfiv.com | www.hpaddicts.com | Need Cheap Hosting ?? www.WEJhosting.com $50/Year |

Like I said at the beginning, its definitely become a cliche, and I for one would like to hear some suggestions if anyone has them. Keeping it simple for now may be difficult to change later on, especially when the overall change is happening for this year and this would compliment it. We've yet to hear from Guess to see if hes even onboard with the idea, some input would be nice. -Steve |

Every VM member deserves a sticker no matter how old they are, as long as their not driving like assholes on the streets and giving us a bad rep.
