Immature Treatment By Members & Towards Other Members Stops Now
This is a note to everyone on the board as of this moment, not just the ones who are involved directly. You guys know who you are because I have talked to you personally in real life or online regarding this topic.
There will be no more bashing/hating/or negative comments regarding another members car at car shows or meets or against another car club online. Everyone on this board, wheather you feel it or not, participates in Vital Motion. The recent events of arguments over meeting spots, arguments about certain people's cars, arguments about other local car clubs on VM are not going to be tolerated anymore. Its not the job of moderators to settle fueds outside of VM or in real life. Most of the people who are on VM should be mature enough to be able to come to some sort of conclusion one way or another without having to resort to name calling, threats in PMs, or anything else of that nature. Discussions of that nature are not allowed on here. In the last month I have personally had more complaints than I can count regarding one member being negative towards another online, and many of them are rightful reasons, but recently its gotten to the point where people dont seem to understand the rules and dont want to follow simple guidelines that are put forth. If you have a problem with another member or club then you should be able to take up that problem in a mature form without having to resort to name calling or insults. Also there seems to be recent events that now have to be adressed regaring more than one person using the same account. This is not allowed. As of this point I know of 4 accounts that are being used by more than one person. Some of them are kind of justified where one person doesnt have internet. At this moment it stops now. The reason for this is threats being sent from multiple people using one account to other members. If you want to be on VM please sign up with a new account and you can participate and PM and all that good stuff as much as you want. If you were banned there was a reason for that. Sharing someone's account doesnt get around that. If you are found to be sharing an account (which we can check through IP adresses) with another member then your account will be put on a ban that is the same length as the person who you are sharing the acount with. Starting up a secondary account when banned will get you another ban and we will continue with this. Essentially one account for one person. There is no reason to have more than one account on VM. It saves us mods and admins a lot of time and effort by not having to search for these accounts. It also is safer for other members because if there is something wrong between that member and another member with multiple people on the same account we dont have to find out what person was talking on that account. These are simple rules people and not hard at all to follow. We all need to understand that these rules are not put in place to make things harder. They are put in place to make things easier for mods and users alike. Cliff Notes: - 1 person to an account. - No threats in PMs or on the boards - No duplicate accounts - No bashing other clubs on VM CRX Forum ------------------ Honda CR-X If you need it I can get it. |

FINA FUCKING LY...Thank god for Mike.. Dude u rock and someone in the mod team had to say it, i tried but got deleted so im glad u said it buddy. If you guys dont like someones ride or someone keep it to urself cause we dont care and neither does the person your bashing. Not only are you wasting your time your wasting the mod teams time cause they have to clean up all the crap. This is a club and a community and its a privilege to be on Vitalmotion not a right so respect it and everyone else and leave your egos at home. There are a lot of you guys on here with alot of knowledge and how to but there are also a lot of people on this forum that come on here to learn so even if they ask a question that might be stupid to u dont be an ass, answer there question and be on your way. Maybe give them a suggestion on what to do and not do but dont say "wow thats gay dont do that", its not your car its theirs. This club as a whole is an awesome club and we can keep it going for generations to come, we just all need to grow up a little bit and enjoy the car scene as a group not individually.

nothings ever going to change on vm mike, trust me
altough I never bash anyone's ride etc, the attitude this forum has accumilated over the past year has gone to any point of repair, and personally to me, and to ALOT of other people I know, vm is just a forum, and thats what it will be from now.. just a forum for people to bitch/talk etc. end of rant, its good someone is trying to keep the peace tough. ------------------ That's not oil leaking! Exactly Mike. Everyones a hero online. If you don't like the person, group, club, post, thread..why waste time bashing? Just click back or X. Yes, this is Vital Motion, but it's like Canada. Lots of different races and ethnicities but, it's a free place where everyone should be able to go and get along just like on the large scale, our country..Canada.
Mainly, VM is a HUGE resource or at least it used to be. It's the place you go when you need info on pretty much anything car related because of the huge user base. I joined it because I wanted to know when things were like track days etc. I wanted to have a connection with people in KW for when I moved here. It was the perfect place to expand. A lot of people look here for pics of events, meets etc. There's so many users that someone HAD to have done the thing that you were interested in, like go to CSCS and got some coverage on what you missed. So what if someone says something on the internet? ITS THE INTERNET! It's uber easy to type something on the internet but, back it up in person? Not likely. So why take what you read personally? Can you see emotion with black and white text? Just a few of my thoughts, were all just gotta relax lol. Everyones gunna die of stress otherwise. ------------------ '96 Ford Ranger XL 4-BANGER 5-SPEED BABY '93 Dodge Colt - Winter Beater |

I dont care if someone is being an e thug. I dont care if someone is being an e thug and back it up in person. I dont care how strong you are, how well you can fight, how well you can argue, what your views are, or anything like that. If youre not mature enough to handle a computer, a message board and your thoughts and feelings all at one time then you shouldnt be on VM or the internet alone.
It gets beyond frusterating when mods and admins like myself have to come on here everyday to people bitching and complaining about whatever. Having to read over and over again PMs regarding someone making fun of someone else. Someone saying something bad about VM. People bringing stuff to my attention that doesnt really matter at all. Think about VM like any other place on the planet. Maybe hanging out at Tim Hortons, or at work or something like that. Would you act the way you do on VM as you do in those places? Its a simple task of being mature enough. You got guys on here that have been bashed time and time again. AdamCL is a good example. I mean when he had his Saturn and then his Golf and now nothing people still make jokes and stuff about it. You know what the difference is about that? He seems to be able to handle it. Ive never even heard him complain about anything. He knows that most of those comments are in jest, but when it gets to the point where someone is making threats against another member or club thats where it has to end. No VM member should be acting in this way. Good humoured ribbing is totally fine. Like "Hey Rob your Colt sucks :P" thats fine. But saying something like "Hey Rob your Colt is a piece of shit and you embarass everyone by driving it on the roads. Whats your problem? You need to grow up!" personal attacks like that are not tolerated. Im not saying dont argue. Constructive discussion often contains arguments. 2 sides fighting for a conclusion. Thats no problem. Thats benificial. Immaturity is the problem. You have a problem with a member PM them. Ask them whats up. Have a problem that cant be solved then ask me or any other mod Ill be more than happy to help, but Im not a baby sitter and nobody else is, nor should we be at any point. We are all old enough to drive (except lilsteetracer LOL), we are all old enough to act like civilized people. CRX Forum ------------------ Honda CR-X If you need it I can get it. |

with all due respect, in a sense, he's right...
everyone is always saying, oh, look at the PSA meets, blah blah and boasting about the club, which is fine, gotta get the name out somehow right? but then to turn around and say, oh, we don't want to be like VM, is crap. like I posted on PSA, you have to get along and learn and grow from one and other. i would do anything to help anyone, anytime i could, for either club, im not going to pick sides... ------------------ 1997 Volkswagen Golf CL - SOLD 1994 Volkswagen Jetta GL Turbo Diesel - RIP I have 3.5 Litres at my disposal, I'd like to use them all! |

I cleaned this thread a bit.
I'm not of the mentality that we can all be one big happy family. But it's important to respect others and other clubs, be it VM or anyone else. Thanks for the post Mike. Saad ------------------ Remember: You can always sleep in your car. But you can't drive your house! Invest wisely!

I would like to also suggest that the moderator big-dick-swinging (won't mention any names) stops as well.
Other than that, its all good in the hood. |

To me:
VM=online forum And thats all it will ever be again. Vm is not a club anymore, hasnt been in a long time. Dont try and deny it. Clubs have events, meets, cruises, BBQ's, shows, unity, friendship. When i look at VM i dont see any of this. I dont want to sound negative but i call it like i see it. Now i never have been to a PSA thing, nor do i really want to if it is going to be a battle with VM. So both <b>forums</b> can just go on there business with out me. To the mods on VM, you dont want VM to be joke then do something about it. There might be e-thugs or whatever you call it, listen to your own words and dont be e-thugs yourself. ------------------ <Kevin> 1995 Chevy Cavalier- RIP??? 2003 Chevy Trailblazer LT EXT- Daily Driver 1985 Pontiac Fiero GT Fastback- New toy |
