so are most of these cars under your OWN name and not as an occasional driver then?

if not is there a way to get around it? or will the insurance company just say "well theres 3 drivers and a third car is gonna get insured, so the new guy is on his own now"

just because you have a licence doesnt mean you drive. besides a single person can easily have 2 cars on their own, one a daily and the other recreation... which means if you live with your parents you can easily have 4 cars insured under them... my bro has 3 insured under him with no probs

Smallz;

That Micra was the shit! I remember making some part runs in that thing with you.

When I was 16 I bought a 93 Civic Si and was paying something like $350.00/month on my own. At 17 I bought a brand new Golf and was paying something like $430/month.

thats exactly what they did with me and my family
we have 3 cars, 90 4runner, 03 trix and 01 celica... i drive the trix all the time, my dad the 4runner and my mom the celi... but the insurance company said since theres 3 cars and 3 drivers, everyone has to be a sole driver on one, and then occasional on the others... so they put me on the truck, even though i never drive it, and its about 150 or something a month... but im still insured on the others...

get group insurance, i was with allstae before paying 305/mo on my 240 fully insured and then come last november they jacked it to 600/mo and that was without comprehinsive and fire wtf eh? no tickets, nothing.

Switched to Johnson Inc out of orillia, it's group insurance, i got in because unions are considered groups. Any ways, the 240 dropped to 205/mo and i can deal with that. Thats at 20 with a g2.
In january it'll drop more...my jeep on the other hand, i pay 700 a year thru this company...i am thinking i may just pull the 240 off the road perminatley and tow it around for the savings.

If you want to contact johnson inc, let me know, i'll post my brokers contact info.

cheers

That only works if you have more drivers than cars. If there is the same number of cars as drivers, then you're going to have to be full time on one of the cars, and they'll put you on the most expensive one by default(you can change that though, just have to tell them). Plus, for that to work the car will have to be licensed in his name.

LOL When I was 17 I got a 1986 Toyota Tercel. I had it till it died this year *cries* You know that car lasted till it was 18! If it lasted till 19 we dsmdanielle and I were gonna throw it a 19th Bday bash....cause it could legally drink in Ontario! Anyways I had State Farm, and the insurance was under my Dad's name but I was primary driver. It ran me 100 a month. However, my insuance went down when I got the Buick now that it's under my name. But I also have a clean driving record and have for the last 4 years.
Hope this kinda helps?
