October 16 - Oktoberfest Car Show (Kitchener) - #1 Car Club In Kitchener - Waterloo - Cambridge

Yesterday I got a call from Rick from the City of Kitchener
He is in charge of organizing the Oktoberfest car show.

For years and years the car show was only of old cars (30's to 50's) and muscle cars from the 70's.

Last year Rick wanted to change the flavour a bit, but couldn't get a hold of us until 2 days prior to the show.
Even with the small club and few members we had last year we had about 15 cars. The wether didn't co-operate and it rained all day but we stuck it out from 9AM until 4PM.

This year he said we can be in charge of organizing the whole Sport Compact Section of the show and we can bring as many cars as we want, as long as I give him a number in advance.
We will be parked right under the MarketSquare overpass on King St and going down a few blocks towards fairway.
The roads are BLOCKED and there is security.
I asked and if we organize this we can have our tent/banner/etc there.

I don't want to do a 1/2 ass job so if we are going to do this, let's do it up well.
I talked to a few guys last night and I got confirmation that they will be there (RAIN or SHINE).
Rick said that he will organize a judging team and will give Best of Show 1,2,3 and prize packs with the throphies to make it for us.

Since most of the guys that come to meets are not on the board we need to design some flyer and give out in the next week, but we need them to CONFIRM. The show is FREE (obviously)

Remember that SCP in Montreal is the same weekend, so if you feel that driving to Montreal for that show is MORE IMPORTANT and more fun, then feel free to do so.
