i like my tints the same way i like my bacons, dark.

pretty sure the legal limit is 35% in the front and 25% in the back, but i have never heard of anyone getting in trouble for it being darker.

There is no fixed number limit. The law is at the discretion of the police officer.

There is a legal limit. I have just that.

The legal limit for tint is 35% on the front windows (Driver and passenger)
And 5% for the rear of the car. (Back window and Back side windows)

I Know this because when I got my tints They wouldn't let me go any darker than this. The tint shop (Xtreme) told me directly that this is the legal limit and that he wouldn't do darker for me because he could get fined or something.

The legal limit is crazy dark in the back. You cannot see in my car through any of the back windows. The sides don't even feel dark at all. People think it makes it hard to see out the back window But truthfully it's not that bad. I manage just fine.

Here's pics of my tints when I first got them done!

Got mine done at CanCare using 20% Madico all the way around (although 15% light gets thru). As long as you sign a waiver they'll do whatever you want. The legal limit is defined as 'vague' for the driver and passenger side windows, but 35% seems to be the accepted 'legal' limit. As far as the back side and rear window are concerned, you can get any % you want. Cops only care about the driver & passenger side front windows.

The legal limit is 35% for driver and passenger and whatever the hell u want in the back. I got my car done in 13% all around. Visibility sucks at night, especially backing up. If I had to do it again, I would probably go with 23% all around. Having different numbers for front and back makes your car look weird. You wont get ticketed for having a dark tint if your not driving to get noticed, thats my opinion on all exterior mods. Drive wisely.

The law in this area does not define a set number for a limit. It is at the officer's discretion for the front passenger and driver windows only. With that said you will never get hassled with a 35% tint and rarely will with a 20% on the front windows. Shops take it upon themselves to say that 35% is the limit so they ensure that they are not responsible for any customers getting tickets from their tint job.

Here's me, 20% rear and 35% front two (Solar Gard HP True Grey). I wasn't worried about getting pulled over fro the 20% on the front, I just didn't want to increase the possibility of getting something else "tacked on" if I were to get pulled over for some other reason.

It's plenty dark enough for me. Visibility at night is fine and its just dark enough that for the most part I don't have to flick the rear view mirror to reflect headlights behind me.

Shitty pics because they were taken with my phone
