I basically need to replace the seats in our datsun as they don't have the support/comfort that I need for my back (lets just say the 24hr drive home on stiff suspension didn't go well).
anyway here's the car for those who forget: ![]() Here's the best interior pics that i have, you can see from the first one there is no lateral support and its basically flat, 30yrs of driving will do that i guess... *shrug* they are in awesome shape for their age, just comfort isn't there. You can feel the springs in the old seats, kinda cool, kinda not..lol ![]() ![]() here are the seats that i'm looking at style wise ![]() ![]() Thoughts? ------------------ Life can change with every breathe, and it can end before the next. I dunno about you, but, since you've got yourself an older style car, try and find some better quality seats out of another one, or get the ones you have refurbished to keep it looking classic.

Oem
You have a gorgeous datsun...please keep it OEM. Get the stock seats refinished if you need to. I love that car!

Hmm...well you may be right. I know I've seen it done before, but then again you are messing with the stock seats and whether they look stock I don't know. If you can store your seats somewhere where they can't get ruined, then maybe you could just swap in some aftermarket seats, so you can always restore it to stock.

that car is seriously beautiful
the style your looking at gettin wouldn't be too bad- but def. ditch the red stitching - regardless of whether it matches the car or not ------------------ l B16 l ACT l NGK l Rays l Clarion l Boston l KVR l AEM l Energy Suspension l TEIN l Suspension Technique\'s l Skunk2 l Recaro l Sparco l under standing of physics, know how to do some minor plumbing, carpentry, and general house repairs(<done), learn italian, 'finish my car'(done), buy a computer(done), and get a job at toyota - - -i have a lot to do in a year" Want to know go rallying?! With the red stitching they'll look very nice in the vehicle.
I'd suggest a chrome or brushed older style 3 spoke steering wheel with a leather wrap and matching red stitching to keep the cool points on the awsome level. ------------------ ~DiscoQuinn DiscoQuinnDesign, 'Custom Car Consulting' 772 Stirling Ave S. Those aftermarket seats look good. Just make sure you either keep the OEM seats in good condition to put them in later, or sell them to another 240z/280z owner who's restoring their car.
