Anyone know local place that rebuilds drive shafts
Well i think it's about time i replaced my drive shaft for the bimmer. It's been vibrating for a while, and since i'm not drivining it in this weather it's a good idea to do it now so i'm not with out it later.
So anyone know a good place that can rebuild my driveshaft? ------------------ --=Chris=-- If NISMO stands for Nissan Motorsports, Does HOMO stand for Honda Motorsports? |

your probably right, i need a new center support bearing for sure since i can smell rubber after a long drive, so it's probably the u-joints causing the problem.
hopefully it's not too much to fix it. ------------------ --=Chris=-- If NISMO stands for Nissan Motorsports, Does HOMO stand for Honda Motorsports? |

Check your U-joints for play first. Don't just say to a mechanic 'I think it's the U-Joints' cause he will say yes, and bill you for it! I used to work in 18 wheelers, I learned my way arounda U-Joint. They often need replacing. And it's easy to feel the play if you can touch the driveshaft.

Delta-Spring in Bresla for balancing if you need it, but 99% of the time its not needed. Simply change the worn U-joints. As for rubber burning??? Does your car have a hanger bearing? cause they wear out also. Im not fimilar with your type car but Ive only ever sceen hanger bearings on trucks!

Yes, Delta Spring does U-joints but any Auto repair shop should also be able to do them.
Hmmm, we got an 84ish BMW at the shop I guess I should have a look at it! ------------------ A.K.A WKNDRCR |
