another great product from ERP.

pics of b16crx's tranny mount.

mounts were purchased at ERP. looks like they're still learning how to weld. It's a good thing his LSD tranny and axle kept the motor from falling out of the engine bay. to bad it fucked up the whole tranny and bent the axle while it did that...

man, I thought last winter was the last time i'd be posting about the BS that ERP sells/makes.. unfortunantly these mounts were baught a while before it was determined that ERP sells junk, makes junk and is an un-professionally run business.

there was almost to penetration on the round part of this mount.. and there is more porosity than an arrow bar..

i just hope no one on VM goes to this shop.. especially because the sponsors on here have generally a good rep (and i'm a tough critic..:tounge: )

for the record.. i really dont like posting these kinds of theads. I could post a shop horror story once a week if i wanted to (as could many other people).. but this one stood out.

reading owns you nick..haha

it was from b16crx's car.. they are hasport (old style) copies.

my mounts are mild steel and are welded with a good amount of overkill - i had them welded right infront of me by someone i trust - good welder and some good passes. i think ERP uses osme kind of add on kit for mig welders to weld aluminum with... obviously is not ment for anything structural..

warantee was never discussed.. you'd think the business would be so concered with the result of a mount breaking that they would take the time to get it welded properly. that wasn't the case.

oh.. and the last time we went to ERP to discuss something the cops almost had to be called. as soon as we walked in there was 2 guys looking for a fight (seriously) <-- same thing happend to anoter buddy of mine who had an issue with something.

maybe b16crx will get someone (who knows how to weld!!) to fix/beef up the mouns?

bunch of monkeys they is.

I read that as they were mounts for a b16 in a CRX. , but since you have an H22 i got confused

Either way any shop that has employees looking for a fight when you walk in should not exist.
