Exhaust fix for cheap?
As some of you know, I had my flange between the muffler and midpipe break at the track a while ago (took off the muffler finally). Anyways, Im getting really tired of the extremely loud tone it makes, and I would like to repair it.....for cheap. Very cheap. Im unbelievably low on money for the next couple months, so any shop that'll do it under $150-200 would be great.

you can go where I just went to... Midas on Fairway... there was a guy in his 50's there that just welded up a patch over some exhaust holes for cash, and it was cheap! Sorry, can't remember his name, might have been Joe. You can probably get a cheap fix there!

I go to minute muffler on Fairway for all exhaust work, they are cheap. They do a good job for a very minimum amount of cash

The cheapest in town is by far Mineken (or Mikenen, whatever is called), corner of Weber & Columbia.
My buddy had a muffler welded on for $25...and that included the muffler. (very cheap quality one) ------------------ Nick | 2001 Golf 1.8T | www.mygolfiv.com | www.hpaddicts.com | Need Cheap Hosting ?? www.WEJhosting.com $50/Year |

I dont like to have my vehicles taken to a shop, so when I do take them I only trust minute muffler. they dont have a bunch of kids working there that arent careful or anything else of the matter. when I got the exhaust done on the 240 they were very cautious and even used special ramps to get my car on the hoist without being pissy about it.

^^^^^^ I'd agree, fast, cheap, and good quality. They take the time to car, be it a beater or a summer car.

They did the same for me with the ramps to get my car on the hoist. I was so happy, it showed that they actually cared.
Another thing that I noticed that they didn't do, which a lot of other shops will do........is that to get it up on the hoist nice and slow, they don't ride the clutch. Lots of shops end up killing it, until it smells like shit. Minute Muffler is the place to be. |
