If you ever have questions regarding what a shop calls for a safety you can talk to someone at the ministry of transportation and they will get someone to look at it. They could also investigate the tech. and shop who issued the safety.

Looks like they basically make their living because "they are close by" and most people out there don't know any better.
I was once like that, fell victim for their "replace parts until you find the one with the problem" trick. I basically bought a new O-ring for $800.00. It was Alan that I chatted with afterwards, and he told me a story of someone just signing over their car to him because the bill was higher than the value of the car! Either way, I'll buy my tools there, as well as other things (washer fluid etc) that are packaged and basically the same everywhere else, but the "mechanics" there will never touch my cars again. ------------------ Gettin' fat - only exercise now is shifting gears ![]() |

On Feb 12 I went to this canadian tire and got oil change with bottle of engine restoration, one headlight replaced and headlight aim fixed, front wheel alignment and rear wheel adjustment and all together paid 255 dollars. Seems pretty decent. As for the work done they only charged me half for doing the aim on my headlights because they couldnt get it perfect but its not bad, alot better then it was anyways. The main thing that worries me though is that the alignment is really good now, doesnt pull to left side no more but yesterday while I was driving home from guelph down highway 7, when I got up passed 85-90 kms the steering wheel was shakin like crazy. So somethin aint right even though it drives straight now. Gonna have to take it in again sometime this week and see whats wrong with it.
