The guy runs it out of a shop behind his house. Deals more with muscle car stuff, but has a lot of sport compact stuff too. From my experience, he has great prices.

My feedback is probably a lil late on this, but Marken's owner Mark Drinkwalker is a good guy... very friendly and helpful. He will totally ignore you if he gets the impression that you are a ricer though! I like that! I don't know about any ricer parts that he carries...

Great prices and quick delivery... I have only bought a short throw shifter from him but have inquired on a couple of other parts.

YOU b!tch... j/k homey...

Yeah I'd put cardboard bodykits and ugly altezzas in that category. It comes down to the attitude of the driver too... I've seen him be quite blunt with some guys who walked in who looked obviously younger... with wallet chains and a homeboy accent and all... hah

marken's pretty good. their prices are ok and the guy working the counter is pretty friendly and helpful. i honestly find the muscle car places a lot better in terms of friendliness and knowledge than the import places (bleh).

Definally fast on getting parts in but my experience the guy is an ass....even thoung you buy few things from him he will treat you like shit....Marken will never see me again.

To me ricey is when you add something to you car to make it look faster, but in reality it just sacrifices performance. Or when you misrepresent what you drive. Or when something is WAY overdone.

Examples:
· If you drive a V6 Mustang, don’t put a Saleen body kit on it (unless you’re going to coverr up the Saleen name)

· Putting a GTP, Si, SIR, etc. on a VW

· Just because there are 200 different manufactures that make parts for your car, doesn’t mean you need a sticker from each of them attached to your car.

Jason

WINTER (full winter trim – including snow tires):
98 Grand Prix GTP
1/4 - 12.58 @ 116.3, 1/8 - 8.26 @ 90.9, 60' - 2.1

SUMMER:
02 Trans Am WS6
1/4 - ? @ ?, 1/8 - ? @ ?, 60' - ?

Perhaps a bit late... but like to give credit where it's due.
Never have had issues with Mark, stand up guy, great advice. Good pricing and usually one day turn around on ordered stuff. Been steered wrong from other shops. He's been getting my business.

I've delt with them a long time ago when doing up "rice rockets" wasn't "cool" (back in 1998 when I had my MK3 Golf) and they were extremly rude to me, fingering me as someone that doesn't know jack about cars and buying blue lights for all to see. Waited 3 weeks to get lights in, and it was a "hassle" for them to talk to me or order me anything.

I won't go back to them, even if they change from "hotrod" to "ricerod". I'll never forget how badly I was treated there when they were on manitou.

Again, this was in 1998, but still. Sounds like they change their image now that now everyone soups up their car.
