A Perfect Mod Shop

What is your Idea of a perfect preformance shop?

Example: one stop shop: Parts and body shop and mechanic and dyno, etc.....

or a specialist .

one for VW's, J bodies, etc......

Hmmm Ideal shop
Defiently one that would accomodate more then one type of car.
It would have parts to buy while offering installation, a body shop, dyno, tire balancing, etc and a carwash/detailing place. Also a stereo install booth.
It would accomodate ultra super low cars and have oil change bays & lifts for these.
Now here is the EXTRA stuff that would be cool.
You could do your own work on your car if you felt confortable. WHen you got into stuff that you couldn't do your self a tech would be there to help you out!!.
The shop would have a small restaurant that would serve fast food and beer. This would provide a cool wating area that could also have car magazines, and a few racing game on PS2/X-Box
People could just come there to hang out and see what cars are getting what work done, shoot the shit on boring nights.

ok, done dreaming!!

Ok i'll keep going
The waitresses at the small restaurant joint would be smoking hot and woudn't mind posing along with the done up cars as they are being serviced there.
Also have music playing inside and around the building, nothing loud, but just enough to create a good atmosphere.

While we are at it, i forgot the Shop could also do DECALS/Graphix and custom interior work.

So what basically what is needed here is a place where i can go and pick up a 92 Civic from the nearest junkyard and turn it into a show winner with a Turbo H22 under the hood!!.

awesome where other than kw should it be located.

A shop like that would need high traffic to fund the employees and overhead!

Definetly, so it should be located somewhere off the 401 in the Mississauga region. That is probably a good central location. It defiently has to be on the outskirts of a city but close to major roads/hwys and close enough to TO so that anyone can make the 30 min drive on a given weeknight!!

Well, my buddies shop aside, I'd look for a shop that specializes in performance. Since I'm serious about performanc mods on my car, I will not take my car to a shop that does vinyl graphics, installs body kits, sells stereo equipment etc. I would want to take my car to a shop that has a reputation for producing some serious power from their cars. Since producing serious power is my main goal. This is what I look for. So things like dealing in only top quality parts companies (no crap like APC, Ractive etc.), secondly the mechanics must be top trained people who have experience in makeing power. A dyno does not need to be there as a tuner and a mechanic are 2 different people. As for tuning ems's etc. I would go to a pure tuner. For instance, my tuner doesn't really know much about modifying cars, installing performance mods etc. He is an ems tuner, and his experience lies with dyno tuning purely. So I have seperate mechanics, tuners, and auto body specialists that I will take my car too.
