Not a big fan of the Silvia front end, or the conversion on the hatchbacks. But hey, whatever floats your boat.

Welcome, heh.

i think what bugs me about it, is lack of a serious drop, better rims, and side skirts. you may or may not want a diff lip also. otherwise good base to start with

might also want a new diff and new engine as it wont be much of a "fun toy" without either...

The KA is a perfectly legit engine. SR isn't the end all and be all of 240 modding. Slap a turbo on that truck engine!

Oops, I meant the KA24DE, not the E. I'm not aware of the year of this 240 either, so meh. Just saying, the SR20DET is nice, but if you've got a big stroker, why not use it? Tons of torque.

Nissan Japan produced 400 Sileighty's which came with bigger cams and a couple other nice touches.

The Factory sileighty had a SR20det.

1988-1990 Silvia's and 180sx's had CA18DET
1991-1993 Silvia's and 180sx's had SR20DET redtop
1994-1998 180sx's had SR20DET blacktop (2 variety's)
I think S14's were sold in 1993 in japan with SR20det VVT

^something like that.

Not a bad purchase/price, hows the underbody? need work?

I just dont believe in KATs whether SOHC or DOHC for a few reason... mostly the rod/stroke vs bore/stroke ratio (which is why they like to spit rods out the block) and then theirs the fact that if the KA's were meant to be boosted, Nissan would have produced a KA24ET or KA24DET instead of the CA18/SR20's as their 4 cyl turbo motors...

Just my $0.02 on the matter... not saying its a fact or everyone should listen to me BUT if I was to go crazy with a motor build for a 240 it would be a CA18 or I'd go big so I didnt have to go home and just do the RB26 swap but thats some big bucks when its all said and done.
