Got A New Toy (Vinyl Cutting Machine)
Well its not really a new toy. Had it for a while, but never really got the chance to set it up. Today since I had free time after 1pm I decided I would finally set it all up and install the software onto my computer. I got a few rolls of vinyl with the machine so that I could try it out and calibrate it which is nice since I didnt have to go and get more.
Anyways its a Master XY-540P 53" Vinyl Cutter. Its a very impressive machine. Cuts everything nice and sharp the first time. Took a while to get used to the software and learning how to get everything running smoothly, but after about 7 hours or so I had it all done and was cutting stuff out left right and center with no real problems. Here are some pics. ![]() Ya I have no place to put it other than in my bed room and its a pretty damn big unit. So its kinda akward at the moment, but Im moving at the end of the month and will be able to set it all up correctly then. Here are the first things I cut out. ![]() I had these logos already on my computer in the correct format so instead of messing around with making something I just decided to make them on my own. 35" x 5" pretty much for each one. This is the colour of the stickers. ![]() If anyone wants those Subaru, Toyota, or Honda decals just let me know and you can come and get them. I dont need them. Nothing wrong with them at all. Just test ones I was using and they came out great. Let me know. So pretty much just need to figure out how to do custom images more efficiently and faster and I should be pretty decent at it. Still getting used to the software. CRX Forum ------------------ Honda CR-X If you need it I can get it. |

I have that green, a blue as seen on the floor LOL, and white. I had black but used it all up already making logos for my roommate and one of his companies (big logos for his trailer and truck 75cm wide and like 100cm long). I can get more but not at the moment. Lacking some funds to do that. I will get some more in a few days hopefully though.

Its something Ive had on my mind since mid last year and my roommates and I have talked about it. So we will see how things work out in a month or so, but at the moment there are no definate plans. If you need something designed let me know, but Ill have to charge for it and it will take me a while because Im still new at this. Sweeeeeet! My uncle is looking to get something for his truck to advertise for his business.. Let me know what kind of $$$ he'd be looking at.. I can do all the design work, and get it to you in any format that photoshop or illustrator can save to!

Tha might be the very same machine the Sign Shack used to cut the vinyl for my truck. Looks like you have a good start for your own business should you decide to go that way. If not there should be some decent under the table money available to you once you get all the bugs worked out and are familiar with the software.

I dont have any other vinyl than what you see in the pics. So I need to get some of that before hand. If someone wants something done and wants to buy a roll of vinyl and wants to trade the rest of the vinyl on the roll for the decal itself that would work aswell. Here is one that I just made. Took me over an hour to get all the extra stuff out of it but it came out good in the end. I really need to invest in the right tools and exacto knife to make this good faster and smoother.
![]() I think it will be better than the piece of paper and masking tape that I now have in the back window LOL. CRX Forum ------------------ Honda CR-X If you need it I can get it. |
