I hate to shit on your thread here but 3 wheelers have been illegal and or "outlawed" now for years! Just one reason not a single manufacture makes them no more...

Might wanna read this... (section 4) http://www.consumerfed.org/pdfs/ATV_...Model_Bill.pdf

Quote:
(a) The sale of three-wheel ATVs by manufacturers, dealers, or other persons is
prohibited.

(b) The use of three-wheel ATVs by any person is prohibited.
"main" reason for this is because of the amount of deaths caused by 3 wheelers... think of it this way "your hauling ass and then you decide you wanna turn, well she wont turn, she'll flip/roll"

trust me... their illegal in both Canada and the United States. I'm not pulling this outta my ass, its coming from someone who has been involved in the sport since I was 7 and have even raced MX at a professional level...

In the mid 1980s, three-wheel ATVs were withdrawn from the American and Canadian markets due to safety-related concerns
I've been sponsored by numerious tracks and organizations and not a single one would let ANYONE with a 3 wheeler even on the track let alone in the trails because the second they do, they instantly becoming liable and can be charged for allowing them to ride.

Next on their list is the banning of 2 stroke engines over 49cc... hence why all the new 4 stroke designs. They've already stopped making 2 stroke sleds and watercraft.

oh... also, due to the safety and liabitly issues with "3 wheelers" no one will even insure them so having one insured and plated of "legal" off road trail use is right outta the question.

tracks such as motorpark or gopher dunes wont allow them on the track or trails so your stuck riding them on farms/private land and hoping you dont fined since no insurance alone is like $5000.

I really dislike it when someone attempts to feed people bullshit. Name one manufacturer that stopped producing 2 stroke sleds or watercrafts? Ski-Doo still has the 600HO SDI, the 550F and the 800HO motors available in their sleds for 2008. Sea-Doo still has the trusty 130HP 951DI motor available in their doo's for 2008.

Not sure what your talking about?

Thats the only valid thing you have said in this thread. 3 wheelers are not outlawed for use anywhere, they are outlawed to be manufactured for use. The people that still have them, are very much allowed to use them, just very limited policy's will insure them, as they arent exactly safe.

3-wheelers are prohibited from being manufactured. They are also prohibited from riding on trails in canada and the US, but are legal to own.

As far as 2 strokes go, CARB is allowing snowmobiles to continue production of them because of low winter emissions, but ATV's are going the way of EFI. With the documents i've read and proposals that are out there, it's looking like all 2010 MY ATV's will be required to be 4 stroke EFI's... it's not 100% yet though.
