Hello from Australia

Well I'm here now, permanently, so just thought I'd say hi It's a bit rainy but nice and warm, and sure beats the snow storms that I left behind!

Keep in touch

YOU BASTARD! We've had a total accumulation of 179cm snow and we're expected to reach 200 by the end of Feb. I'm cold, I hate you!

Oh believe me I know, we had our flights delayed and our luggage lost because of the stupid weather.

Good riddance!

They have tropical cockatiel like birds as seagulls here, and palmtrees everywhere.. pretty neat!

So what are you doing down there?

Just so you know Australia has the same 15 year law that we do here regarding cars.

Luggage lost?? Ok I forgive you.

So why the permanent move- work, love, or other?

Sad to see you go, honestly. You were one of my faves around here, but that's a pretty exciting life adventure!

This is where you type a bunch of shit about how awesome your car is. FACT: It's been scientifically proven that the more shit you write in here the less cool your car is. Nine times out of ten the majority of people who talk shit down here don't even have any of the crap they talk about on their car. I drive an 8 year old domestic and barely give two shits about it. I beat the hell out of it and it begs for more, just like your girlfriend. Go ahead, cut me off. I dare ya.

I'm here in spirit

I moved down because my wife is studying @ the Uni of Sydney for Veterinary. She's in 3rd year now. So I'm down here to support her. Currently looking for a job, but only allowed to work part time legally

Oh and there are skylines EVERWHERE. $13k gets you a pimp one, lol.. it's the tuner car like Civics back home.

So work under the table. Get a GTR for cheap, and ship it back here when you guys are done.

Well there has not been much time for fun yet, we've been buying furniture and stuff, looking for jobs, running around. Once we're settled and I have some income, we'll do the beach thing twice a week at least. There are pubs EVERYWHERE, like 3 on each street, so just chilling out is not a problem. The owners just live upstairs and have a pub downstairs, pretty convenient home business.

Haha I will try to find a platypus, but my friend already demanded pictures of me kicking a kangaroo, so take a number

Yes there are GTR's everywhere.. Supras, WRX's, etc. I saw a Dodge Nitro today, lol wtf is up with that. There is a Skyline GT on my street. Saw a Bentley the other day, Lambo Murcielago (RHD looks cool), and all sorts of exotics that you'd NEVER see in North America. Oh yeah I saw a Saleen S7. People downtown have MAD money. My job in Canada paid like less than $40k, and over here it's $65k + ... apparently 'shit pay' is $20/hr. This is what kids at a Staples type store make.

Mike I plan on learning how to surf but just so far no time. My main and only focus right now is getting stable income because I can only survive on the few $ we have saved up for so long. Maybe I will be a street person for extra income. Yep I looked at part time cash jobs too, like at a pub or something. Apprently it's very easy to find a job in Sydney, like if you can't then you're retarded. So I'll keep my hopes up

For now I'll enjoy a Tooheys New Cheers

EDIT: Here are some pictures!!

haha yeah actually funny you should ask. I went to this liquor store, "Liquor Land", and I'm shopping around for some different beers and asking some people for advice, and this bum who smelled like expired cheese comes up to me and starts mumbling something and says "Canadian accent", so we started talking and he says something about Alberta, and then he went on his homeless way.

Most people think it's American, coz they don't know the difference.

Seriously look around for anything Tim Hortons related. You would be suprised where you might find stuff. When I was in England I found Tim Hortons donuts at a deli. My sister used to live in Ireland and there is a picture of her in a corner store in a display of Tim Hortons donuts with a big suprised look on her face. The next picture is her upset becuase they didnt have the coffee. There are Tim Hortons distribuators smattered all over the world in almost every country. Thats your first random goal of Australia. Find anything Tim Hortons related.
