The Weirdest Thing Happened - Paranormal Type Shit

So I got from Brantford last night. I went there for a business meeting and ended up at the casino haha. $100 down the crapper but still got 5 hours of fun for it.

Anyways I went with my roommate and something very strange happened that both of us cannot explain. Ill make it as detailed as possible not to leave anything out.

I was going to eat at the casino but they had the place closed due to kitchen cleaning so I waited until we left. When we left and were in Cambridge we stopped at Petro Canada so I could grab some quick snacks. I got a small bag of chips, a Hershey bar and a bag of cashews. Good enough to tide me over until the morning.

So being out all day I had not had the chance to wash my hands and I open the bag of chips when we get on the highway heading back to Kitchener. This is very easy to remember because there was some dude walking down the side of the highway and both my roommate and myself talked about how much of a retard this guy is. So we get on the highway just as I open my bag of chips. I tilt the bag up to my face to get at the chips and the next thing you know we are already at the Kitchener exit for the highway.

Now usually this trip from the entrance on 24 to the Kitchener exit takes like 5min or so maybe a bit longer. Well I had not even got a single chip out of the bag into my mouth by the time that we had got to the exit. I didnt finish the bad until we got to where Martins furnature. The first thing I remember after getting on the highway was pretty much passing Sports World.

Now my roommate brought up how he also doesnt remember that 5-7min time frame either. Its like we were in one spot and then poof we are in another. We even looked for the recipt from the gas station to compare it to the clock in the truck, but Im pretty sure I threw it out when I stepped out of the station.

Both of us have about 5-7min of lost time that we cant account for, that we have no memory of and are kind perplexed about the whole thing. No, nobody was doing drugs or drinking. Nothing like that. We are both sober and nothing to influence our thought process or memory. Its just like one place to another without an explination.

We even talked about how long it should take someone to eat a small bag of chips. It shouldnt take more than 3 min or so. I mean I can power through one in under a minute no problem. Now for me to take from the entrance of the highway in Cambridge to Martins furnature in Kitchener thats kinda fucked up.

So ya thats what happened.

Lol Crazy shit.

Same kinda thing happened to my buddy Ryan and I on the 401 once. We were heading home from work in Elmira. Just driving with tunes on shootin the shit and next thing we know Ryan goes "Dude, Where are we?" I looked up and could also not figure out where we were.

We had taken this same route from Elmira to Cambridge hundreds of times but for some reason we were lost. So we kept driving looking for any kinda of landmark that either of us would recognize.

Eventually we realized that we hadn't even passed the Hwy 24 exit and that we were totally fine.

Kinda seems like there's a dead spot on the 401 that has no trees or buildings and that must have been what through us off.

Could it be the fact that you guys were talking and lost track of time? I know i have done that a few times with my buddies. Also maybe you are used to the traffic along that streach of highway and for some reason there was light to no traffic at that time of night. Maybe you were very tired and close your eyes for a which seemed like a sec but was really for a minutes. There are reasons for everything. I dont think there is any paranormal things that happen.

I'm not pooh-poohing your experience, cuz I believe in ghosts and the paranormal and all that jazz (had a few experiences myself!) and if it felt like something other-worldly happened, then trust your instinct, but if you're searching for rational explanations, perhaps you were both just tired, and spaced out?? I used to date a guy in Paris/Ayr (close to Brantford) and it was a long 45-minute drive back to my house in Waterloo...if it was 2 or 3 in the morning, I would drive on "auto-pilot" and zone out, and not really wake up until I was pulling into my driveway and then realized "what the hell? I'm home!" (Haha, or those long hauls where you're like "God I'm so tired, I'm glad I'm not driving" and then you realize "crap...I'm driving!" )
