--[ The Work Thread ]--

(my apologies if this thread already exists...)

Alright I figure I'd start a thread for all you people at work (including myself) to discuss anything and everything.

SPEAK YOUR MINDS!

I'll start it off:
The secretary, which is about 10 feet away from me, is by far the most annoying woman in the world. She has such an annoying voice and she answers and pages the same way all day long. I swear it's like the movie Office Space. And not only that, but she laughs EXACTLY the same way as the mother from That 70's Show.. u know, that annoying laugh.. *sigh*

I wish I was

haha thnx. Mellisa..(sp ...i'm an immigrant)
but back on topic...
my job requires 12 hr shifts... 7-7...either am-pm or pm-am... switch ever2 weeks... it was a summer job. (a Rim Job to be specific)lol

but i work with this one grouchy old man... i cannot stand him. he's soo nosy..and I have respect for ppl older than me..... but.. lately he's got on my nerves..and I treat him like shit now.. i just cant take no more.

other than that..I think my work place needs to umm "upgrade" on their employee staff.....uknow... younger.......and w/e else

but good news is i'm done this friday 27th. for the summer

that's my 2 cents

How's this for my third week of a new job?

I'm opening the pub on Sunday at nine. There are four people scheduled: I'm managing the restaurant, there's a kitchen guy, a bartender, and a server. The kitchen guy quit the night before. The server calls in sick. And, the bartender doesn't show up. So, I'm sitting there like a goon, calling the only two other people available to come in for those three spots. One doesn't answer, and the other had her kids for the day... that was the end of the list.

It was one of those 'ready to kill myself', 'why don't I get an office job' sort of days...

I can beat your Hamilton-Guelph commute. I drive from Brantford to Oakville five days per week (65 km one way), plus, I have to pay at least five dollars per day for parking, and I've already gotten two parking tickets.

hmm lets see i work in a grocery store all day, well wholesaling place where people spill shit alllllllll day like today..... 14 Litres of vegetable oil, know how hard it is to clean up 14 litres of that shit? takes alot of flour and a shovel. then after thats done you get people coming in with teenage kids.... can you help us carry out our stuff and load it into our car... WHILE their teenage sons stand there and ask their parents for 300 dollars to go blow at National sports... better yet i hate people with first gen neons, you DO NOT come into a store and buy a patio set then make me fit it into a neon.

end of my work rant.

never work in a grocery store or wholesaling place unless their unionized haha
