KWMuscle.com Drive For Cancer With Kool FM!

KWMuscle is hosting a car show in support of the Grand River Cancer Centre!

Enthusiasts have tried for 3 years to assemble a car show in support of the KOOL FM Poster Boy campaign at Grand River Regional Hospital. Radio DJ Brian Burke will be living on a billboard for a week and a 1/2 to raise money for the Cancer centre there. Our 1st year we had 14 cars and about 20 people but the following 2 years we could not get more then 6 cars due to inclement weather conditions. We have averaged about $300 as past groups in support each year and this is something I would love to continue as my dad could have sure used the services of this centre and I'm sure many of you have known someone who has been affected by cancer.

The date for this will be:

Saturday April 21st from 4 PM to 6 PM.

We have use of a large parking lot across from the hospital between 824 and 830 King St. W Kitchener. Signs will be posted at the driveway with 2 sections for general parking and cruise car parking.

This will be a PERFORMANCE car show so that we can welcome our 4 and 6 cyl. performance car guys as well. I would like to see this as a KWM Event and invite the other clubs from around the region and GTA. I am really hoping we can snag a good weather day and that many of you have your cars ready to kick off this car season with a nice event to help support a worthy cause. I'm asking that even if you don't have a car to come on down and make a donation and for those that can bring a car to show there will be door prizes from our sponsors!

After the show we can get together for a dinner somewhere we decide at the time

I am really hoping for a great day with 20-30 cars and great support for Cancer and the poster boy and all the clubs

Yep it is. But if folks have nothing to do then common out. Unfortunately this event was put together on short notice and I finally had time to cross post to a few additional boards and clubs this week.

If people can't make it, no big deal. If they can, then it's great to support a cause like fighting cancer right?

You got it dude! Just copying some stuff around on PC's today. I'll fire them up in an album on KWM and then post a link to any interested over here.

I'll upload the originals for you and email you a direct link. They're probably between 2 MB and 5 MB each as I took them on a Digital Rebel.

Thanks! It was awesome. We plan on doing more stuff like this throughout the summer! Later on in the year there will be a lot more cars out. I think we could easily top our numbers by double if the same show was held in mid June.

In most cases I can and certainly will give lots of notice. In this case unfortunately based on time constraints with other things I had going on I didn't get onto VM to post about it till a little too late.

There will be a next time with lots of notice so that anyone needing it can also be there!
