CRUISING ON KING STREET is the event of the summer! An exciting Downtown tradition; this year's theme Our "Cruising through the Decades" theme adds real urban attitude to this classic favourite! On July 10th, 2004, the Kitchener Downtown Business Association is pleased to host its 14th Annual Cruise extravaganza! Cruise day kicks off at Noon, when the cavalcade of "motor city marvels" leave Victoria Park and park on King Street from Water St. to Eby St.. Along with the vintage chrome and white wall veteran vehicles of the past, come the spoilers and ground effects of the future. Vehicles ranging from the early 20th century to the "fast & furious" high performance muscle machines of the new millennium will leave you in awe as they bask in the July summer sun along the King Street strip. Come and check out the transformation of styles, sizes and shapes of car favourites - old and new. For the kids, there will be plenty of fun and entertainment! Clowns, balloons, rides, and face painting are just a handful of attractions that will please children ages 1 to 99! Other favourites like cotton candy and ice cream will be available all day long as well. Hip or square - you should be there! This year's event promises to be the best one yet!
